Showing a Blu-Ray or DVD (School Dining Hall)

Note: The School Dining Hall can play Blu-Rays in addition to DVDs. (some other rooms can only show DVDs, not Blu-Rays.)

1. Bring your disc to the AV rack in the alcove. Locate the Blu-Ray/DVD player.

2. If the Blu-Ray/DVD player isn't on, turn it on and put your disc in the player.

3. Locate the touchscreen in the AV rack. If the touchscreen is black, tap it to wake it up. If you see the screen below, the group before you left the system on. Turn the system off so we can start fresh.

4. Tap the START button. The screen will come down and the projector will turn on.

5. Select "Blu-Ray" in the center section ("Audio/Video Sources"). To control the Blu-Ray/DVD player, you can either use the touchscreen or the actual DVD remote in the AV drawer.

6. Volume can be adjusted using the "Source Volume" control on the right side of the screen.

When finished:

  1. On the upper right of the touchscreen, hit the red "System Shut Down" and confirm.

  2. Remove your disc from the player. You may leave the player on.

Troubleshooting

Blu-Ray/DVD player is unresponsive

  • Go to the AV rack. Press and hold the Blu-Ray/DVD player's power button for fifteen seconds to force a shutdown.
