1. Decide whether you want to use HDMI or VGA to connect. Not sure? See the bottom of this page.
2. Go to the AV closet near the stage. Grab an HDMI or VGA cable.
3. Connect one end of the cable to your device. If using VGA, be sure to connect the audio cable as well if you need sound. (This is not necessary for HDMI since picture and sound are transmitted on the same cable.)
4. Connect the other end of the cable to the wall plate by the stage.
5. Make sure your device is on and sending video.
6. Locate the touchscreen. When you're looking at the stage, it is in a white casing on the wall just right of the stage:
7. If the touchscreen is black, tap it to wake it up. Do you see the screen below? If so, press SHUTDOWN and confirm so that we can start fresh.
8. Tap START
9. Turn the projector on with the PROJECTOR ON button, then in the list of sources, select either "Stage HDMI" or "Stage VGA" depending on what connection you're using for your computer.
10. Computer volume can be adjusted using the "Source Volume" controls on the right side of the touchscreen.
When finished:
Return all equipment back.
On the touchscreen, hit the "SYSTEM SHUTDOWN" button and confirm.
What are HDMI and VGA?
These are the names for the two types of connections we support. Here's what they look like:
