Using Chrome Browser
Locate the TV remote and turn the TV on.
On the TV remote, press the source button and select the source labeled "ChromeBit"
Locate the wireless keyboard. It will be in one of the slide-out storage drawers in the room. (This keyboard also has a built-in touchpad.)
Ensure the keyboard's power switch is turned on.
Using the keyboard, login to Chrome with the following credentials:
Account email: rmXYZ@stlaurence.org - where XYZ is the 3-digit room number you are in. For example, room 204's email is rm204@stlaurence.org
Account password: Refer to the printed instructions for the password, or ask one of the Religious Education staff.
Note: the email field defaults to @stlaurenceschool.org. You can ignore this. Enter in the full rmXYZ@stlaurence.org email address and it will let you in.
Troubleshooting
Black screen / login page not appearing / TV says "no signal"
Behind the TV, locate the Chromebit.
On the Chromebit, one of the cables is a power cable. Unplug it and plug it back in.
No audio / volume too low
There are up to three places (!) where volume can be adjusted. Make sure volume is up on each of these:
TV volume
Chrome device volume -- adjust this with the volume keys on the wireless keyboard
If watching a YouTube video or similar, sometimes the video window or video player has a volume control of its own, usually located near the play/pause button.
Keyboard not working / dead batteries
Two extra batteries are in the same drawer the keyboard is in. If you use them up, please notify a staff member so we can replace them.
Find a staff member and we will help you get new batteries.
TV remote not working / dead batteries
Point the remote towards the lower left corner of the screen (the sensor is by the power light).
Find a staff member and we will help you get new batteries. (Batteries are replaced regularly, so this isn't typically necessary.)
